At Nova Hobby, we offer pre-orders on upcoming hobby box releases and collectible products so that you can secure your items before they sell out. Please read this Pre-Order Policy carefully before placing a pre-order, as it contains important information about how pre-orders work, when you will be charged, and what to expect from the moment you place your order to the moment it arrives at your door.
1. What Is a Pre-Order?
A pre-order is a purchase made in advance of a product's official release date. By placing a pre-order with Nova Hobby, you are reserving your item ahead of its availability, ensuring you receive it as soon as it becomes available without the risk of missing out due to limited supply.
Pre-order release dates displayed on our website are estimates provided by manufacturers and distributors. These dates are subject to change at any time and are not guaranteed by Nova Hobby.
2. Payment and Billing
- Pre-orders are charged in full at the time of purchase, not at the time of shipment.
- By placing a pre-order, you authorize Nova Hobby to charge your selected payment method for the full order amount immediately upon checkout.
- All pre-order payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Accepted payment methods: Credit Card, Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link by Stripe.
3. Processing and Shipping
Pre-order items follow the same processing and shipping policy as in-stock items:
- Once a pre-ordered product is released and received at our facility, it will be processed and prepared for shipment within 1–3 business days.
- Estimated delivery after shipment is 3–7 business days.
- You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your pre-order has been dispatched.
- Free shipping applies to all pre-order shipments within the United States, just as it does for all standard orders — no minimum required.
4. Release Date Changes and Delays
Release dates for hobby products are set by manufacturers and distributors and are outside of Nova Hobby's control. Delays can and do occur in the collectibles industry.
Our commitment to you in the event of a delay:
- We will notify you by email if a pre-ordered product experiences a significant delay in its release date.
- We will keep your pre-order active and honored unless you choose to cancel.
- We will never substitute a pre-ordered product with a different item without your explicit consent.
Nova Hobby is not liable for delays caused by manufacturers, distributors, shipping carriers, or any other circumstances outside of our control.
5. Pre-Order Cancellations
We understand that circumstances change. Pre-order cancellations are handled as follows:
- You may cancel a pre-order at any time before the item has been shipped by contacting us at support@novahobby.shop.
- Approved cancellations will receive a full refund to the original payment method within 10 business days.
- Once a pre-order has been shipped, it can no longer be canceled and will be subject to our standard Return & Refund Policy.
- If Nova Hobby is unable to fulfill a pre-order due to product unavailability or distributor issues, a full refund will be issued automatically within 10 business days.
6. Returns and Refunds on Pre-Orders
Pre-order items are subject to the same return and refund policy as in-stock items:
- Returns are accepted on unopened, factory-sealed items only, within 30 days of the confirmed delivery date.
- Opened pre-order products cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances.
- Refunds on approved returns are processed within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

7. Product Availability and Allocation
Pre-orders are accepted based on anticipated inventory from our distributors. In rare cases, distributor allocations may be reduced or limited after pre-orders have been placed. If this affects your order:
- Nova Hobby will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the situation.
- You will be given the option to maintain your order (subject to revised availability) or receive a full refund.
- Orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis in the event of limited allocation.
8. Price Changes on Pre-Orders
- The price you pay at the time of placing your pre-order is the price you will be charged. Nova Hobby will not increase the price of a confirmed pre-order after purchase.
- In the rare event that a pricing error is identified on a pre-order listing, we will contact you before processing and offer you the option to proceed at the corrected price or receive a full refund.
- If the price of a pre-ordered item decreases before it ships, we are unable to retroactively apply the lower price unless explicitly stated in a promotional offer.
9. Multiple Item Orders Containing Pre-Orders
If your order contains both in-stock items and pre-order items:
- In-stock items will be held and shipped together with your pre-order item once it becomes available, unless you contact us to request separate shipment.
- If you prefer to receive your in-stock items immediately, please email us at support@novahobby.shop and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that separate shipments may incur additional shipping costs.

Nova Hobby reserves the right to update or modify this Pre-Order Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website and pre-order services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
